Registration
How do I get the membership registration rate? What if my membership is lapsed?
To receive the membership rate for the gathering, you must maintain an active certification and an active membership account with Scrum Alliance.
When you register as a non-member, you'll have the option to select a complimentary two-year Scrum Alliance membership that starts after you attend the event. Enjoy discounts, access to our partners' tools and software platforms, and opportunities to engage with a global network of passionate agilists.
Are you offering student, group, non-profit, or government discounts?
We offer group discounts for Global Scrum Gathering registrations of two or more attendees. Groups of 2–4 receive 10% off, and groups of 5 or more receive 15% off. You can submit your group discount request here.
Anyone associated with a college or university is eligible for our $270 academic rate pricing. You will be asked to upload proof of eligibility during registration.
My company will be paying for my registration fee; how do I register and obtain an invoice?
Send an email to accounting@scrumalliance.org, and we will send a follow-up email with all the instructions to register and obtain an invoice.
I need to apply for a visa. Does Scrum Alliance offer a Letter of Invitation?
If you require a visa to travel to Canada for Global Scrum Gathering® Vancouver, we’re here to help.
1. Complete your Global Scrum Gathering registration.
2. You’re confirmation email will include a Letter of Invitation to support your visa application.
3. Complete your visa application following these instructions.
4. Once you’ve submitted your visa application, please email your full name (as it’s listed on your passport), your passport’s country of issuance, and your visa application number to globalscrumgathering@scrumalliance.org.
5. We will then share this information with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) under Special Event Code 26GSGS to help ensure your visa application is properly identified and coordinated in relation to the Global Scrum Gathering.
What meals are included?
Breakfast and lunch are included and will be served on-site during the event. We'll have drinks and appetizers at the Sunday welcome reception and Monday Mingle. Please list your dietary requirements during registration. Menus will be available in the agenda in the Bizzabo app closer to the event.
I need help convincing my boss that attending is worthwhile. Do you offer any resources to help?
We understand that budgets are tight and time away from your desk must be justified. That’s why we’ve created this toolkit to help you clearly communicate how attending will enhance your performance and deliver value to your organization.
I’m having issues registering; who do I contact?
Please contact globalscrumgathering@scrumalliance.org and write a detailed message about the issues you may be having. We will respond promptly.

Venue
Where is the gathering being held this year?
The event is being held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. The address is 655 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC, V6C 2R7, Canada.
Are you offering a discounted room rate?
Yes. Rooms are available at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver starting at $359 CAD /night. Book by Wednesday, April 1, to ensure you receive the best rate!

What to expect
Will sessions be recorded?
We do not record or live stream sessions at this time. As our sessions are highly interactive, we have found it difficult to capture the content in a way that is valuable for a virtual audience.
What is the dress code?
Please wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable and energized. We recommend bringing a sweater or a jacket for the meeting rooms in case you find the room temperature to be cold.
What is Monday Mingle and why should I go?
Don't miss this Global Scrum Gathering® feature event at Good Co Granville (965 Granville St, Vancouver, BC)! After the first full day of the conference, get ready to enjoy a night of relaxation and networking off-site. Enjoy drinks, food, entertainment, and all the mingling you can handle!
Is transportation to Monday Mingle provided?
This year’s Monday Mingle location is a 10-minute walk away from the venue, so no bus transportation will be provided.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! Our third-party partner Bizzabo powers our mobile app. You'll receive a "Know Before You Go" email with a link to download it as the event draws closer.
Where can I find slides from the presentations?
If a speaker or keynote has chosen to share their presentation slides, you can find them as an attachment on the session page shortly after the end of the conference.
Can I get SEUs for attending the gathering?
All attendees are eligible to earn 24 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) for attending the gathering. Presenting, coaching, and attending sessions at the gathering all count as SEU-eligible activities. The SEU link will be provided at the end of the gathering.
I would like to volunteer for the gathering; how do I sign up?
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Vancouver gathering. You can subscribe to receive email notifications about volunteer opportunities here https://www.scrumalliance.org/subscribe.

Accessibility
I have an accessibility request; who can I speak to?
We continuously seek ways to support the diverse needs of our community and are committed to creating a welcoming and accessible environment in all aspects of our events. Things you can expect at the Global Scrum Gathering® include:
If you would like to reserve a front-row seat, have questions about wheelchair access, need help sourcing a sign language interpreter, or have other accessibility questions or requests, please email globalscrumgathering@scrumalliance.org.

Refund & cancellation policy
While tickets are generally non-refundable, if you cannot attend the Global Scrum Gathering for any reason, you are welcome to substitute the name on your ticket with another attendee for no additional fee as long as the substitute qualifies for the same type of registration (member vs. non-member). If the substitute attendee does not qualify for your ticket type, an additional fee or refund may be available, at SAI’s option.
Refund requests for medical emergencies, visa issues, or bereavement may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Scrum Alliance reserves the right to request supporting documentation. Refunds requested more than two (2) weeks before the event start date will be processed without an administrative fee. Refund requests received two (2) weeks or less prior to the event start date will not be approved except under exceptional circumstances, in which case a 20% administrative fee will be reduced from the refund amount.
In the unlikely event that Scrum Alliance should have to cancel the gathering, all attendee tickets will be refunded.
